Arby's is maintaining its reputation for meat sandwiches and bizarre menu items with a new limited-edition sauce commemorating the Kentucky Derby (as well as the First Lady of Music).
On Thursday, the American fast-food chain unveiled "Chardonneigh's Horsey Sauce," a variation of the brand's mayonnaise and horseradish sauce splashed up with a subtle infusion of Chardonnay. Available now for $16, the unlikely condiment comes packaged inside a full-sized 750-milliliter wine bottle.
From its silver-white color to its racing logo, the bottle is a fairly on-the-nose reference to Beyoncé's recent "COWBOY CARTER" and "RENAISSANCE" albums, both of which feature a galloping white horse on their covers. Even better, the sauce pays direct homage to that horse's name, revealed by music executive Justina Omokuna to be "Chardonneigh."
In a news release, Arby's said that the sauce's "perfect balance of mildness and boldness" can appeal to both "cowboys and city girls alike."

This isn't the first time Arby's has ventured into outlandish spirits-adjacent releases. In 2022, the chain took its "We Have the Meats!" tagline literally with a meat-inspired Smoked Bourbon bottling. A year before that, the brand released two french fry-flavored vodkas described at launch as "a tribute to the mastery of crisp, spiced, curled potato."
